Beefwood is a species that rewards close attention. It’s dense and hard with a naturally warm, reddish-brown color - but the real intrigue is in the variation. Depending on the piece, you may find dramatic quartersawn ray fleck, rich heartwood contrast, or simply a clean, even grain. No two boards are alike.
